Open anterior glenoid osteoplasty

Angela Posted Fri 07th of August, 2015 12:11:16 PM

I need help finding a CPT procedure code or codes for an Open Anterior Glenoid Osteoplasty using Coracoid Auto Graft. The doctor further explains the procedure as a modified Eden-Hybbinette procedure using coracoid autograft, capsular recession, and conjoined tendon advancement or the "MECCCA Procedure". The doctor also did a revision open anterior bankart reconstruction, which the code I want to use for that procedure is 23455, but I think it might get bundled with whatever code I end up using for the first procedure.

There is no such code for these procedure. Use unlisted CPT code 23929 for it. Also, do not forget to provide the complete documentation stating the procedure to the insurance company.
