If a patient leaves a Nursing Facility AMA can the provider still a discharge service? Thank You for your help

Before you can bill for a AMA you must note that whether the physician have spent face-to-face time with the patient, which does not occur if a patient leaves AMA. So in this case such services have not been rendered, and therefore no discharge should be claimed, says Manas, CPC-H. If the Physician saw the patient on the same day prior to his or her departure from the nursing facility however, the appropriate code for subsequent nursing facility (99307-99310) may be billed.
