could someone please help me with this question? My doctor is wanting to know if when a patient is having a nuclear stress test at the hospital by a nurse practioner and my doctor is supervising and signing the test, what should we be billing?

There are many things to be taken into context:

1. What are the CPTs and modifiers that the Nurse practitioner billed.
2. Was there a contract between your doctor with the hospital, then the details of payment as part of the contract would decide the the split of Physician and Nursing billing criteria.
3. If it is a totally Professional component only that the physician provded
