New Patient Visit for Vaccines

Bernadette Posted Mon 29th of September, 2014 13:45:17 PM

Hi,

When a new patient comes in for no other reason except to have a flu vaccine, what diagnosis code do we use? Our doctors would meet and examine patient before receiving the vaccine. If the patient does not exhibit any symptoms and/or the patient is healthy, is there a "V" code to use or some other code? It would not be a well visit.. Please advise.

Thanks!
