Hi, thank you for your patience. CPT 36224-Rt is a primary code that will be billed along with 36228. CPT 36228. This code includes accessing the vessel, catheter placement(s), injection(s) of contrast, fluoroscopy, and radiological supervision and interpretation. Although it includes any additional second or third order selective catheter placements in the affected vessels, 36228 cannot be reported more than twice per side at the same operative session. Moderate (conscious) sedation performed with 36228 is considered to be an integral part of the procedure and is not reported separately. Thank you.
