i work for a Dermatology doctor, the doctor did botox injections on bilateral hands what is the CPT code?
A discussion took place between the patient and me regarding the risks, benefits, alternatives, and rationale for the above named procedure. Risks, benefits, alternatives and cost of neurotoxin treatment discussed at length including risks of bruising, swelling, pain, incomplete effect, multiple treatments, infection, problems with inadvertent spread causing unwanted effects, etc. We also discussed the possibility the patient will derive no improvement from this. Having discussed all these matters the patient expressed understanding and gave informed consent to the following procedure.
Treatment Site: Bilateral palmar hands
Total number of units: 100 units (50 units per palm)
