Multiple Procedures

Jamie Posted Mon 16th of January, 2017 13:27:34 PM
If a provider starts a removal with one procedure and completes the removal with another procedure, which procedure is coded? (EX: Excision of Lesion w/cryo to remove borders)

Hi,

Considering the above mentioned scenario, both the procedure codes will be coded.

But, modifier 52 will be appended to the procedure done subsequent to the primary procedure.
