MRA vs. MRV

mary. Posted Wed 29th of April, 2015 11:42:27 AM

Can these exams be billed together with a -59 modifier?

CPT codes for Magnetic resonance angiography includes all the blood vessels (Arteries and Veins) of the body part on which MRA is performed. So you cannot bill it twice or with 59 modifier, even with 2 different report.
