MRA and MRV of the brain performed same date of service

kim. Posted Wed 25th of November, 2015 11:04:45 AM

If a Dr orders an Mra and an Mrv of the brain and both are performed and dictated seperately, are we able to bill for both exams using a modifier?

MRA and MRV of the brain are the same CPT code, the studies/readings are actually different. When done together, the study is a longer study. Although they cannot be billed as 70544 and 70544-59.
