Medicare Wellness Visits

Sara Posted Mon 23rd of May, 2016 07:30:17 AM
When billing the Initial Wellness visit can you bill any other preventative codes with it....such as G0436, G0442, G0447, G0328QW, G0446? Or can those additional preventative codes only be billed with the subsequent wellness visit? Thanks for your help!

Hi Sara, Yes, you can bill Initial Wellness visit code (G0438) with G0436, G0442, G0447, G0328QW, G0446, as long as you have met the documentation criteria for each of these codes for the provided service. There are no CCI edits associated with these codes. Thank you.
