Medicare denied 11008

Cindy Posted Wed 10th of December, 2014 21:16:07 PM

We billed cpt 49566/79, 11008/79 and 49568/79. Medicare denied the 11008 stating reason code CO-107, ANSI code sheet says claim/service denied because the related or qualifying claim/service was not paid or identified on the claim. What code would need to be billed with this to make it payable, I don't understand the denial. Any ideas?
Thank you

Code 11008 is an add on code and you can only report this code with following primary codes:

10180, 11004-11006.

Since, you have not billed any of the primary code, medicare denied the claim with reason code CO-107, ANSI code sheet says claim/service denied because the related or qualifying claim/service was not paid or identified on the claim.

Thanks !!
