Lysis of Adhesions- Penile

Nicole Posted Mon 25th of January, 2016 16:41:20 PM

If the doctor is doing a penile lysis of adhesions via an incision, is there a CPT code for this?

I can only come up with the 54450, which the description does not mention an incision. It only talks about stretching to release the adhesions.

This is being done in a Ambulatory Surgical Center along with a Penile Shave Biopsy. Would the lysis of adhesions just be considered inclusive or is there a separate code? (This is not a post-circumcision patient either).
