Lymph Node

Christine Posted Mon 18th of August, 2014 16:07:46 PM

Lymph node, retroperitoneal, core biopsy: METASTATIC SEMINOMA.

Immunohistochemical stains were performed, a TP slide was also recieved with case and stained with Wright's Giemsa. Does this get an 88333?

Thank you for your question.

88333 requires the pathology to be performed during surgery. If the stains, slides and Wrights Giesma were performed while/during the patients surgery, then yes, 88333 would be appropriate.

88333-Pathology consultation during surgery; cytologic examination (eg, touch prep, squash prep), initial site
