The drug names are alphabetical from CPT code 80150 (Amikacin) to CPT code 80202 (Vancomycin). Lidocaine is used in procedures as an anesthesia agent via gel or injection form. A provider would perform a laboratory test to monitor the level of Lidocaine (80176) in a patient so that the patient does not reach a toxic level.

this code is for the lab then, to my understanding. can the out-patient facility bill for this code?

This code is for laboratory billing. You should not bill for this code unless your site provides laboratory services.
