DOCTOR DID A LEFT HEART CATH RADIAL APPROACH. HE ALSO DID A SELECTIVE RIGHT RADIAL AND BRACHIAL ARTERIES IS THIS CONSIDERED A DRIVE BY OF IS IT BILLABLE. WHAT CODE WOUD I USE IF ANY.

Thanks for your question.

 

Since the doctor did a left hearth catheterization (LHC), the following code should be billed:

 

93452 (Left heart catheterization including intraprocedural injection(s) for left ventriculography, imaging supervision and interpretation, when performed)

 

Its MUE is 1, which means this code can be billed only once per day. It doesn't make any difference even if this procedure is performed via left and right radial arteries.
