LHC using right radial approach

Tiffany Posted Wed 15th of October, 2014 10:17:23 AM

Is there a specific code for a LHC using the right radial approach instead of the groin?

You should use code 93452, Left heart catheterization including intraprocedural injection(s) for left ventriculography, imaging supervision and interpretation, when performed.

Descriptor of this code does not mention about the approach for inserting catheter, You may use it for either approach: groin or arm.

Thanks !!
