Length of time for a hearing aid recommendation

Marla Posted Mon 14th of November, 2016 08:35:14 AM
If a physician recommends hearing aids to a patient, is there a time limit on how long ago that recommendation was made. In other words, if a patient was recommended hearing aids three years ago, and the patient is now ready to get the hearing aids, is that recommendation still valid?

Generally medical certificate and attestation of need of hearing aid(s) by a audiologist are required for hearing aid(s).

Your question is very unique, so we would recommend you to get in touch with your payer to know their applicable medical/reimbursement policies/guidelines.
