Stephanie Posted Mon 26th of September, 2011 17:42:55 PM

Which codes should I be using for laparscopic parastomal hernia; lap incis.hernia repair w/mesh; lap para colost hernia and lap lysis of adhesions?

SuperCoder Answered Mon 26th of September, 2011 19:07:16 PM

The only code for laparoscopic hernia repair is 49569. Here, all codes are laparoscopic for which no specific code is there, except 44180 for lap lysis of adhesions.

We have to submit 49569 with the fee value equivalent to a fee if 44346, 49560, and 49568 had been billed together.
