Lap drainage of ovarian cyst with lap appendectomy

Hello,
Patient[teenager] had a ruptured ovarian cyst in which we did diagnostic lapaorscopy, lap darainage of cyst and laparoscopic appendectomy.

Fluid noted in pelvis suggestive of prior ovarian cyst rupture
fallopian tubes, uterus normal, no evidence of torsion. the wall of the right ovarian cyst was excised and drained. no gross evidence of inflammation of appendix. appendix identified divided and placed in bag via port.

Code 44970 is a column 2 code for 58662, but a modifier is allowed in order to differentiate between the services provided.Use modifier with code 44970.
