Laminectomy for tethered spinal cord

Caralee Posted Tue 17th of April, 2012 14:31:09 PM

The only code for a laminectomy w/ release of tethered spinal cord is 63200 and it's the lumbar but the I'm coding for a thoracic (T10 & T11) spinal cord injury w/ tethering. Can this code still be used?

There is no code for de-tethering thoracic. I would recommend using 63200 with 63295. I am researching more on this.
