knee x ray

Melisa Posted Fri 20th of May, 2011 14:17:12 PM

We did a xray of the left knee with 3 views AP, lateral and sunrise view according to what the report states. My tech is telling me that the sunrise view is both knees and that a right knee x ray should be charged. How would this be coded?

To my knowledge sunrise view is for patella and can be for one side also. So I think you should go for
73562-LT code.
