Dr stated TOTAL OF 6mL of injectable was administered inclusive of 10 mg of Triamcinolone (J3301) and 0.25 % Marcaine.(multiple sites)

Billing 1cc= 1mL-- so would I be billing 24 units on claim form with J3301 since Marcaine is inclusive?

Thanks for your query.

J3301 represents Injection, triamcinolone acetonide, not otherwise specified, 10 mg.

In order to decide the units of Triamcinolone, you should know the concentration of 10 mg Triamcinolone in per ml or cc of injectable.

In case, the injectable has a Triamcinolone concentration of 10mg/ml, you would bill 6 units of J3301, Injection, triamcinolone acetonide, not otherwise specified, 10 mg.

Thanks !!
