Could we use cpt code 36005 for the admin of the drug into the Catheter?

Discussion:
The existing catheter port(s) were checked using aspiration and injection techniques. Catheter was observed for placement under fluoroscopy

Findings:
Catheter is in in good placement. Ports aspirated well. Catheter was instilled with 2mg CathFlo each port

CPT code 36005 represents injection procedure for extremity venography (including introduction of needle or intracatheter). Therefore, this code is used when an opaque substance is injected through the catheter for venography.
