When doing an injection, the doctor uses dexamethasone and kenalog - what J code do you use for that ? J3301 and J1094 are the codes I was using, but J1094 is an old code, and doesn't work anymore... any ideas ?

Thank you.

There are several codes for Dexamethasone: J8540, J1094, J1100, J7312, J7637, J7638

J1094 is still a valid code. Choice of Dexamethasone code will depend on dosage and mode of administration. You can refer to the HCPCS drugs table at HCPCS manual or at SuperCoder website.

Kenalog --> J3300, J3301
