Our Doctor placed two iStents in a patient on the same eye, same date of service. would I code each placement separately with 0191t?

Hello Carmel,

Thank you for your question.

As per the presented documentation, the provider placed two iStents on the same eye, same date of service. Therefore, you can report the service(s) by the following CPT® codes.

0191T (Insertion of anterior segment aqueous drainage device, without extraocular reservoir, internal approach, into the trabecular meshwork; initial insertion)

+ 0376T (Insertion of anterior segment aqueous drainage device, without extraocular reservoir, internal approach, into the trabecular meshwork; each additional device insertion)

Note: Use anatomic modifiers LT and RT for left and right eye respectively.

Please feel free to write if you have any question.

Thanks
