Is there a HCPCS code for the EndoClips

Federico Posted Sun 25th of September, 2011 22:25:25 PM

Is it possible to bill separately for the endoclips used to control the bleeding during a colonoscopy with polipectomy (45385)? If not, is it proper to charge the patient for the cost of this supply?

SuperCoder Answered Mon 26th of September, 2011 02:31:42 AM

No, it is inclusive of the other service provided.

Sanjit is correct. It is included in the service and you should not balance bill the patient.
