Injections Administered During MAC

Joni Posted Thu 05th of April, 2012 15:17:47 PM

In the ED, Monitored Anesthesia Care was rendered from 0900-0930 by a CRNA who gave Propofol for a hip reduction. The nursing staff administered Zofran IV and Morphine IV at 0910. Should the injection administration performed by the nursing staff be coded on the facility side?

Facility can bill HCPCS codes to bill the Zofran IV and Morphine IV, given by the nurse.
