Patient discharged from hospital. Was told to see our doctors in the office for follow up visit. Came to our office we charged out 99213 with the POS of office. Carrier originally paid now 2 years later states POS was incorrect, the patient was living in an assisted living facility. How should we be billing for this?

Thank you for your question.
If the patient came to the office for the visit, the POS would be outpatient office.
