Bill Posted Fri 18th of July, 2014 12:07:50 PM

would I code "40806" or "41010" for incision of labial ankyloglossia with primary closure? Thank you for you help

There is no code that describes the incision of labial ankyloglossia. You will have to use the unlisted codes.

41599 - Unlisted procedure, tongue, floor of mouth.
40799 - Unlisted procedure, lips.

Since, the primary aim of the procedure is to release the tie tongue. You may use the code 41599 after consulting with your provider.

Thanks !!
