Ileoscopy down through Rectum

Susan Posted Mon 31st of October, 2016 10:12:04 AM
Patient has had a total colectomy with surgical anastomosis. Scope is passed through the anus to the distal ileum. Providers used an unlisted code 44799, unlisted procedure of the intestine. Is this cpt the most appropriate for this procedure. If it is then how would I figure a price to attach to the procedure?

Per NCCI Edits, If an endoscopic procedure is performed at the same patient encounter as a non-endoscopic procedure to ensure no intraoperative injury occurred or verify the procedure was performed correctly, the endoscopic procedure is not separately reportable with the non-endoscopic procedure.
