ICD9 code

Melissa Posted Wed 16th of November, 2011 15:33:33 PM

ICD9 code for necrotizing lesion on her right groin/inguinal area. Was going to use the 709.8 for the necrosis. Is the groin/inguinal area considered lower extremity in which I would also use 739.6
thanks

No, non-allopathic lesion is a very vague term for an unidentified problem, and is mostly used in spinal regions. So,in groin/inguinal area we should avoid using it.
