ICD10 FOCAL EROSION

Chrys Posted Tue 29th of November, 2016 03:45:26 AM
What ICD10 would you assign to the following diagnosis for this gastric biopsy. Focal erosion and adjacent mucosa with prominent regenerative changes and foveolar hyperplasia. I have a diagnosis for hyperplasia - just wondering what I would add for focal erosion and regenerative changes. Thanks Annette

Hi,

As per the above documentation, ICD 10 for focal erosion is K25.9

As there is no specific code for regeneration, so the most appropriate code would be K31.89 (Other diseases of stomach and duodenum)

Thank you!
