ICD-9 for Subcutaneous Cyst

kim. Posted Wed 01st of October, 2014 10:33:16 AM

Not sure what code to use for a subcutaneous cyst that is in the hip/pelvic region deep to the gluteal cleft. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thanks for your question. 706.2; Sebaceous cyst; Atheroma, skin, Keratin cyst, Wen is the diagnosis code that you should use based on the information provided. If you have any additional information I can take a look at that and determine if another code is appropriate. Hope this helps.
