ICD 10

Lili Posted Tue 15th of March, 2016 12:02:05 PM

I need an ICD 10 for removal of silicon oil in the anterior chamber left eye or removal of foreign substance.

Thank you!

Removal of Silicon Oil from the anterior chamber of eye is a procedure and there should be appropriate reason or condition for which the procedure was performed. But the reason of surgery is not mentioned in the above query. So, look at the ICD-10 CM codes and use the appropriate code as per your case.

(a) T85.21XA Breakdown (mechanical) of intraocular lens, initial encounter
(b) T85.22XA Displacement of intraocular lens, initial encounter
(c) T85.29XA Other mechanical complication of intraocular lens, initial encounter
(d) H44.712 Retained (nonmagnetic) (old) foreign body in anterior chamber, left eye.
