hysterectomy with cystoscopy with dye study

Ruth ann Posted Wed 30th of March, 2011 21:27:55 PM

Dr. did laparasocpic assisted vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy. Also did cystoscopy with dye study. Billing 58552 but didn't know if there was a code we could bill for the cystoscopy with dye study.

Only Cystourethroscopy has the cpt code 52000. I think if there is a Cystoscopy with dye study, there must have been catheterization to introduce contrast. In such a case it would be 52005(including Lavh:58552). So, the code for cystoscopy dye study as you said would depend on each and every bit additional documentation that you submit.
