Hysterectomy and other procedure

Carmen Posted Mon 27th of June, 2011 22:39:30 PM

My ob-gyn performed a total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH) with (R) salpingectomy and (L) cyst aspiration due to a bilateral paratubal cyst. Should I just bill for the TAH (58150)or can I bill for the cyst aspiration and what would be the correct coding for this procedure.

You can code both, as the paratubal cyst aspiration is in the Left, but salpingectomy performed in the right.
Please confirm if cyst aspiration is done as FNAC or as Laparoscopically.
