Jim Posted Tue 14th of February, 2012 14:51:29 PM

Resection of the anterior septum, shpenoidotomy that allowed approach to sella for removal of pitiotary adenoma, bilateral inferior turbinectomy, resection of right concha bullosa to allow adequate exposure.

The appropriate code for the above scenario is 61548.

The Resection of the anterior septum, shpenoidotomy, inferior turbinectomy and resection of right concha bullosa are performed to allow access; hence the same would not be coded separately.

Thanks

Even if doctor is ENT that was assisting a Neuro surgeon to allow him access.
