How do you bill 92551 and 92552 together without bundling them?

obinna Posted Mon 03rd of August, 2015 12:51:49 PM

As in, could I code/bill both 92551 and 92552 if I'm using AudioScope Screening Audiometer/Otoscope?

How do I get this done without the two cpt codes being bundled together?

SuperCoder Answered Tue 04th of August, 2015 00:44:43 AM

Yes, you can code both the CPT code 92551 and 92552 by using AudioScope Screening Audiometer/Otoscope as per the case whether screening was done or threshold testing/measurement was done. CCI edits do not show any bundling in between these codes, so you can bill both these codes together as per your case.

Can I code/bill V20.2 with these 2 hearing screening codes together without a modifier?

SuperCoder Answered Thu 06th of August, 2015 02:11:12 AM

Yes, you can use ICD-9 code V20.2 with these codes. Also, you can use CPT 92551 and 92552 together, but check your documents whether they support both the procedure or just screening or threshold testing.
