Hospital Billing Codes

Tierni Posted Thu 17th of March, 2016 15:47:49 PM

We provide billing services to a provider who is an Radiation Oncologist. He operates daily out of our local Caner Center. He keeps giving us "hospital" billing codes, because he believes that he is in a hospital setting. My understanding of hospital codes, is that they are exclusive to a "true" hospital setting. Literally the hospital itself. Can you please provide guidance as to what classifies a hospital setting and what does not from a billing/coding perspective.

Thank you
