Hospice Billing

Carlos Posted Fri 02nd of September, 2016 14:26:48 PM
Patient was seen in the Hospital and we found out later patient was enroll in Hospice. Since admission face sheet had Coventry listed as insurance we sent a claim to them with GW modifier but they denied the claim. Now on the face sheet they removed the insurance and added Vitas information. Can a claim for a Hospice patient be billed to the Hospice directly?
