Holter Monitor Charge

sonya Posted Tue 12th of February, 2019 10:55:11 AM
Assuming the recording, scanning and review/interp were completed, < or = to 48 hours in duration. Is it more appropriate to charge 93224 or 93225, 93226 and 93227?

Hi Sonya,

The only code that will be used for the recording, scanning and review/interp were completed, < or = to 48 hours in duration will be CPT 93224. It is a comprehensive code and will include all. Feel free to ask for any further query.

So what would you do with a claim that has all three codes 93225, 26, 27? Change them to the 93224?

Yes, it is appropriate to use a single code 93224.
