1.please suggest some conditions and procedures for high risk in MDM apart from the MDM table. 2.provider planned cholecystectomy can we consider this as additional workup for new problem

Thanks for your question.

Additional workup planned refer to information (including diagnostic testing results and consultations) which can be obtained either during or following initial E/M encounter, in order to sift through the number of possible dianoses and/or management options.

Cholecystectomy is a surgical excision of gall bladder and not a diagnostic tests and should not be considered as additional workup.

Conditions such as cerebral infarction, ESRD, and stroke are high risk conditions. Procedure such as CABG, and craniectomy which includes identified high risk factors.
