can a nurse visit '99211' be included with the hemocults cards '82270'

There is no CCI edit on the code pair. To bill the 99211,there must be a medically necessary clinical reason that the nurse needed to see the patient, not just that the nurse sees every patient to make sure they completed the card properly. The reason, such as continuing symptoms, must be documented and an assessment needs to be performed by the nurse with signatures of the supervising physician and the performing nurse.
