Help with diagnosis

Mercy Posted Tue 10th of May, 2011 14:14:21 PM

What diagnosis would you use for a lesion that has the characteristics of erythematous, ulcerating with hyperkeratosis?
He also states the characteristics are suggestive of alesion that has a high probability of being neoplastic.

We only used liquid nitrogen to destroy. Nothing went to path.
Thank you,
Marci

Either you code for 695.89 or if it is that specific to justify Erythema nodosum (EN) is an acute, nodular, erythematous eruption that usually is limited to the extensor aspects of the lower legs, then you can code 695.2

But going by procedures performed, it might be an actinic keratosis. If it is an actinic keratosis, the icd would be 702.0
