HOW LONG MUST BE UTILIZED IN ORDER TO MEET 97110 REQUIREMENT? I've read at least half of the time in the descriptor must be accomplished in order to bill timed services. So 8 minutes for 97110? Should the actual time spent with patient be documented in the chart?

Yes, actual time spent with patient should be documented in the chart , since this is time based code; so mention of  time in documents is mandate. It is correct to bill 97110 for 8 minutes of service.
