Hi, I have one more question for you.I need to send global claim for one of patient. She has all 13 prenatal visits+ cesarean+ postpartum with my doctor. Now of course we would be billing global for whole thing that is 59510. Do we put any codes or dates for ante part-um visits or just one global code. say she had prenatal visits from 03/22/2017 to11/14/2017 and than a cesarean on 11/15/2017. postpartum is to be done by this same doctor. How to accurately bill this claim. Thanks, Wajahet Thanks,

Hi, code 59510 (Routine obstetric care including antepartum care, cesarean delivery, and postpartum care) should be appropriate.

Antepartum care includes the initial prenatal history and physical examination; subsequent prenatal history and physical examinations; recording of weight, blood pressures, fetal heart tones, routine chemical urinalysis, and monthly visits up to 28 weeks gestation; biweekly visits to 36 weeks gestation; and weekly visits until delivery. Any other visits or services within this time period should be coded separately.
