Fragmentation of urethral stone

Cheryl Posted Wed 08th of February, 2017 15:30:26 PM
My doctor performed a cystourethroscopy with direct vision internal urethrotomy (52276). There was a stone lodged in the urethra and he pushed it into the bladder and then fragmented it and washed out the pieces. I would use 52317 but according to Dr. Ferragamo, that code is for stones that originated in the bladder. Code 52353 includes ureteroscopy which was not done. Can you advise?
