Fluid Adhesiotomy

Pauline Posted Wed 25th of June, 2014 13:28:36 PM

I am not sure what the correct code for the following procedure would be: Fluid Adhesiotomy was performed with 5cc of lidocaine 1% plain mixed with 1 cc kenalog 40mg. Likely nerve entrapment as scar tissue is binding down the nerve itself. Likely saphenous neuritis. Injection over medial malleolus to break up scar tissue. Would this be a 64450?

Yes, it should be 64450, Injection, anesthetic agent; other peripheral nerve or branch. Just make sure that your document clearly specify that injection is being performed into a nerve.

Thanks !!
