Flu shot

Sandra Posted Thu 01st of October, 2015 12:05:45 PM

What CPT and ICD10 do I use to bill for both flu shot and admin of injection?

Thanks for your question. The appropriate diagnosis code for all vaccines is Z23, Encounter for immunization. You should use the appropriate CPT code based on the type of flu vaccine your provider has given to the patient. The category 90476 to 90749, Vaccines, Toxoids, includes many different vaccines for influenza virus based on type of virus, age group for delivery, and other factors. Hope this helps.
