Flouroscopy with 1st mpj implant arthroplasty

Melissa Posted Fri 08th of August, 2014 16:28:34 PM

The physician says he used fluoroscopy to verify placement of the implant. Can I bill this in addition to 28293? would it be 76000 ?

Thanks for your question.

Yes, you should bill 76000, Fluoroscopy (separate procedure), up to 1 hour physician or other qualified health care professional time, other than 71023 or 71034 (eg, cardiac fluoroscopy).

CCI edit do not show that these two code, 28293 and 76000 bundles. Hence, you may report fluoroscopy code 76000 in addition to 28293.

Thanks !!
